I'm going to kick off this blog by asking you for something.
I have a request: I want something really specific for Christmas this year. I'd like your gift to me to be the knowledge that you don't mind that I'm not getting you anything. That's it :)
So a bit of background...
I'm spending all of the rest of December and January abroad. I'm not celebrating Christmas. Reasons? 1) I'm not religious and 2) It's not going to be a family affair this year with half of my family in Oz and whatnot.
I'll be going to Thailand and possibly a few other countries in south east Asia - depending on The Dreaded Whim - and as a great friend of mine once said I'll be needing to satisfy the curiosity of worrying friends and relatives "or more likely assure them that I'm still alive".
This one's for you Tor, you inspiration you ;)

P.P.S. If you have gotten me something for Christmas, I've got you on my list and will do my bestest to bring you something Thai and shiny back :D
